 There is / There are

 => We use there is for singular. Example: There is a book on the table

=> We use there are for plural. Example: There are some pens on the table

Remember: There is = There's

NEGATIVE ( Plural)

there aren't any  tables in the bedroom

There are no tables in the bedroom.
